Andy Jamieson begins training for the 2012 London Marathon,

with Asthma UK set to benefit.

Asthma sufferer Jamieson plans to run his marathon on 22nd April next year and has committed to raising at least £1,600, though he hopes to gather a lot more.

He has already made a start on working towards that target whilst also concentrating on achieving promotion as a match official. His fundraising page is at

Named in honour of Mr Arthur Dimond in recognition of his achievements in football nationally and for it's development in Harlow.

  History:

The 1st meeting of the Harlow Referee's Society took place in the Essex Skipper public house on the 22nd March 1955 to propose the formation.

An inaugural member, Arthur Dimond, became the appointments secretary who then later on become our president, mentor and overall influence to all over the later years and to whom our venue is now named after.

The Society moved from Moot House,The George Hotel, London Road (no longer there) to the Harlow Sports Centre in October 1955 then on to the BP Social club before its current premisses at Dimond House.

We celebrated our 50 year at the Churchgate Hotel in June 2005 and still going strong.

We meet on the 2nd Monday of every month with guest speakers on a range of topics.
